Melissa McGuire is playing Debbie in Masquer's upcoming production of Love to Tell the Story
MM: Let's start with the basics. Who are you, and what is your involvement with Masquer Minsitries? Melissa: I'm Melissa McGuire. I'm an actress in the upcoming production of Love To Tell the Story MM: How long have you been involved with Masquer? Melissa: I've only been involved with Masquer for about 3 months. MM: Melissa, tell us a little bit about yourself outside of Masquer Ministries. Melissa: I love to choreograph things for other kids and I'm involved in The Dance Club at school. I also like to write plays, and have a little over ten of them done. MM: Tell us a bit about your music and acting background. How long have you been performing? Melissa: I've been acting since I was in the third grade. I started with the Sound of Music as a puppet. MM: Have you been involved in any drama ministry before Masquer? Melissa: Every year since third grade I've been in the church musical play during the summer for VBS. MM: Have you had any professional training in either music or drama? Melissa: Nope. MM: What part of your involvement with Masquer Ministries has been the most challenging? Melissa: I've found it relatively easy. MM: What has been the most rewarding experience with Masquer? Melissa: The new friendships I've made. MM: So, what has been your favorite part of being involved with Masquer Ministries? Melissa: Getting to know everyone in the cast. MM: Do you have a favorite part of the show? Melissa: Walking Like a Wiseman is my favorite part of the show. MM: Anything you'd like to tell the folks who might be coming? Melissa: I wish they could get to know the characters as well as I do, so that they can have that understanding I've been able to develop. MM: Let's start with the basics. Who are you, and what is your involvement with Masquer Minsitries? Nik: My name is Nik Knudson and I am an actor. MM: How long have you been involved with Masquer? Nik: I have been involved with Masquer since the start of rehearaslas for Love to Tell the Story MM: Nik, tell us a little bit about yourself outside of Masquer Ministries. Nik: I am sort of a geek. I love video games, I love tons of different stuff, I love to write books and I love literatuare. I just can't stop reading books. The last book I read was Goblet of Fire. MM: Tell us a bit about your music and acting background. How long have you been performing? Nik: At church i've been in a musical, I've been in musicals for a long time. For the last couple years I've been one of the main characters. MM: Have you had any professional training in either music or drama? Nik: Nope, unless you count advice from my mom. MM: What part of your involvement with Masquer Ministries has been the most challenging? Nik: Dancing. I do not like dancing. MM: What has been the most rewarding experience with Masquer? Nik: Some of the feelings. MM: So, what has been your favorite part of being involved with Masquer Ministries? Nik: Being able to perform more, cause I love performing. MM: Any final thoughts? Nik: If you're not Christian, you gotta understand. I hope that the story we tell helps them to understand.
